We asked for some help making the point that wetland restoration was what the City should be emphasizing and analyzing in their De Anza plan–and you all activated!
We kept them listening for over 2 hours! The vast majority of spoken and written comments were in support of our work and our efforts and our science-based plan for the northeast corner. We improved the City planning process by voicing our support for wetlands and their benefits to water quality, sea level rise resilience, access and recreation opportunities–not to mention habitat for Ridgway’s Rail, Belding’s Savannah Sparrow, and thousands of other birds! Thank you!
We took a positive step here today, and will keep taking those steps together as the planning process goes forward.
