The San Diego Bird Alliance has issued an RFP for the De Anza Natural/ReWild Mission Bay Roadmap.

The project seeks a qualified engineering, environmental science, or interdisciplinary consulting team to prepare a comprehensive Roadmap outlining the technical, regulatory, engagement, and financial steps needed to advance wetland restoration, shoreline resilience, and public access at the northeast corner of Mission Bay Regional Park. This is a meaningful piece of work that we will use to help guide the City of San Diego’s considerations for a long-anticipated wetland restoration effort in our region.

The anticipated contract budget is $20,000–$30,000, with the Roadmap to be completed by September 1, 2026.

Proposals are due by 5:00 p.m. PT on March 13, 2026. Submissions should be no more than 5 pages (not including relevant experience examples) and must include a statement of qualifications, work plan, conflicts of interest disclosure, and relevant experience.
