We hope that you get some quality time with your friends and family this week. We should all be thankful for the water filtration and resilience work that tidal wetlands are doing for us all the time—24 hours a day!
Places like Kendall-Frost Marsh filter our storm water and soak up our King Tides (next ones coming up the third weekends in December and January!). These wetlands improve our water quality, climate resilience, and carbon sequestration efforts—all while providing important habitat for endangered wildlife.
Get ready to fight for your Marsh, too—the City is preparing to release their draft plan for the ReWild area at the end of January 2023, and we need to make sure they hear from us that wetland restoration and human connection are the priorities.
And mark your calendars: Love Your Wetlands Day is schedule for February 4th, 2023. We hope to see you all there.
More to come from us. Take care.
