The Future is Now: King Tides and Climate Resiliency Webinar

Register now to join ReWild Mission Bay and San Diego Audubon for our next Love Your Wetlands Day webinar this Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 6:30 p.m. as we debut “The Future is Now,” a new video from the California King Tides Project on the impacts of king tides on the California coast over the last several years, and how the twice-a-year king tide phenomenon will become the daily high tides of decades to come as sea levels rise.

Participating photographers in the “The Future is Now” include three San Diego-area high school students supported by San Diego Audubon, and as part of the presentation we’ll hear from California King Tides Project leader, documentary photographer, and retired UCSD photography instructor Leland Foerster.

We’ll also welcome Julia Chase, senior planner with the City of San Diego, and Heidi Vonblum, deputy director of environmental policy and public spaces, to discuss what the city is doing to stay ahead of rising sea levels.

Register now via the San Diego Audubon website for our webinar this Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 6:30 p.m. with more on the California King Tides Project and the debut of “The Future is Now.”
