Over the last several years you may have heard your favorite non-profits refer to Giving Tuesday, often denoted with a hashtag as #GivingTuesday.
A response, and a reaction, to the post-Thanksgiving consumer traditions of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is an international day of charitable giving at the beginning of the holiday season.
Instead of conspicuous consumption, it’s a means of encouraging “considerate giving” to your favorite charitable cause.
This year, Giving Tuesday is today – Tuesday, Dec. 3rd. And if #GivingTuesday is something you and your family take part in, we’d like to ask that you give to San Diego Audubon, which is the parent organization of ReWild Mission Bay.
Over the years, San Diego Audubon has served as your voice in the protection of birds, wildlife, and habitat, and in connecting San Diego kids to the natural world. And now, more than ever, our local Audubon chapter could use your help.
Please support San Diego Audubon with a #GivingTuesday contribution in order to:
- Continue our ongoing conservation, restoration, and education work.
- Have the latitude to take effective action with campaigns like ReWild Mission Bay, or as part of Tijuana River Action Month.
- Take action locally to curb, and help reverse, the extinction crisis facing birds worldwide.
We’re thankful for the support you lend ReWild Mission Bay via San Diego Audubon throughout the year to advocate for birds and wildlife, and the restoration of our native wetland habitats. We hope you, your family, friends, colleagues and workplaces can make a contribution to San Diego Audubon this #GivingTuesday. Thank you.
Have a safe and wonderful holiday season.
