San Diego Natural History Museum Letter Cites Water Quality and Loss of Wetlands

In a letter to Councilmember Jennifer Campbell (D-2) in support of the ReWild Mission Bay campaign, San Diego Natural History Museum president and CEO Judy Gradwohl shared her concern regarding water quality in Mission Bay, expected sea level rise in relation to areas of wetland already lost to development, and the value wetlands posses in naturally protecting coastal infrastructure.

You can read the entire letter below.

Wear your ReWild Mission Bay shirt and join us at Civic Center Plaza at San Diego City Hall this Monday, June 24, beginning at 12:30 p.m. as we gather to go over talking points and speak with press ahead of the full San Diego City Council vote on lease recommendations in the northeast corner of Mission Bay, which could preclude wetland restoration efforts for years to come.
