Support ReWild at the Mission Bay Park Committee on June 4th

A few weeks ago we said we were arriving at a point where votes would be cast and decisions made about our bay and our park.

That time is now.

Let city officials know you support ReWild Mission Bay – and that you oppose backroom deals.

We need you this Tuesday, June 4, at 6 p.m. at the Mission Bay Park Committee meeting at the Santa Clara Recreation Center at 1008 Santa Clara Place in Mission Beach, on the far west side of Mission Bay.

Your presence, especially in your ReWild Mission Bay shirts, speaks volumes about the level of support we enjoy among our neighbors and in our communities. Can we count on you to join us?

Tuesday, June 4 – 6 p.m.

Wear your shirts, and look for our ReWild team members to coordinate talking points and submit speaker slips.

Use this special on-line form to send your message today.

Also, keep sharing your personal stories and concern for the future of Mission Bay with Mayor Faulconer, members of San Diego City Council, and Councilmember Jennifer Campbell, the chair of the environment committee.

If you’ve already sent Councilmember Campbell an e-mail, encourage your friends, family and neighbors to do the same with our ReWild Mission Bay campaign link.

Our effort is focused on cleaner water, greater public access to our bayfront, increased climate resiliency, and more native, natural wetlands to ensure the survival of Kendall Frost Marsh and the plants and wildlife that make Mission Bay their home.

Also, join us Thursday, June 6, at 6:30 p.m. at the Clairemont Town Council. Their monthly meeting is held at Clairemont High School, located at 4150 Ute Dr., near the intersection of Balboa Ave. and Clairemont Drive.

Thanks to all our active supporters for coming out to recent community meetings to demonstrate your support and determination for the ReWild Mission Bay campaign.
